Free FLV Converter is a great application that can grab Flash videos from most of the popular video websites. Not only that, it also converts the FLV videos to a variety of common video formats; and can also convert your videos to the FLV format for you to upload them to the web.
The program includes four functions: it searches videos on the popular video websites; it includes Tube Downloader for you to download videos (it can even keep a list of URLs for batch downloading); it can convert from FLV to AVI, PSP, iPod, iPhone, MP4, WMV or some audio formats; and it can convert to FLV in case you have any videos you would like to upload to a website.
Among the new features of the version 6.6 there is compatibility with the following formats: DivX, Mpeg, DVD, to be converted to FLV video; plus automatic HTML page creation, which makes it easy to place files on a Web site. Additionally, YouTube search & download engines are now faster and have been enhanced, and the search result issue has been fixed.
It would be great if the proigram also had an FLV player; but it still is one of the best and most complete programs of its kind, as you get a video browser, a 2-way converter and a video downloader in one package. The program comes in over 30 languages, with automatic updates and can be used in Windows Vista. |
